Support
Last updated: 17 September 2026. This is the support page for the distribot iPhone app and for the website distribot.de. It is run by one person, so you always reach a human.

Email is the fastest way and the one we prefer, because we can look things up properly before answering. We aim to reply within two business days. If your message is about a bug, it helps a great deal if you write which iPhone model and which iOS version you are on, and what you did just before the problem appeared.
There is no support ticket system, no chatbot and no queue number. You write, a person reads it.
2. Before you write — the questions that come up most
“My post is out, but the day didn't count.”
A day counts once TikTok has confirmed that the post is published — not when you tap “Post now”. TikTok can take a few minutes to process a post; while it does, the home screen shows “Processing on TikTok”. You can close the app in the meantime: it checks again the next time you open it. A day counts once, however many posts you publish on it, and posts you publish outside the app are not counted, because the app cannot see them.
“My streak is back to zero.”
The streak counts calendar days in a row. If a whole day passes without a counted post, the streak starts again with your next one. Your longest streak is kept. The evening reminder and the streak alert (Settings → Notifications) are there to help you not miss a day.
“I can't post / TikTok says no.”
Check that your TikTok account is still connected (Settings → Connected accounts); if the app asks you to reconnect, do so. TikTok limits how many posts an account may publish per day, across all apps, and decides which audiences are available to your account — the app only offers what TikTok allows. If a post fails, your photos or video and your caption stay in the composer, so you can simply try again later.
“Why can I only pick some audiences?”
The list comes from TikTok and depends on your account's own settings. The app never preselects an audience for you: you choose it for every post.
“I switched phones.”
Install distribot on the new iPhone and sign in the same way as before — with the same Google or Apple account, or the same email address. Your streak, your penguin's name and your settings are stored with your account and come back. You may need to allow notifications again.
“How do I delete my account?”
In the app: Settings → Delete account. That removes your account, your streak, your settings, your post history and your TikTok connection from our servers. Posts on TikTok stay there. The details, and what to do if you no longer have the app, are on our Data deletion page.
“Is it really free? What's the catch?”
It is free. There are no ads, no subscription and no in-app purchases, and we do not sell your data. What we process to run the app is set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Reporting a bug or asking for a feature
Both go to the same address: hello@distribot.de. Feature requests are genuinely read — the app is small and early, and what people ask for shapes what gets built next. We cannot promise that a request will be implemented, and we will say so honestly rather than leaving you waiting.
4. Privacy, data and your rights
What the app processes — your account, your settings, your streak, your posts and your TikTok connection — and what happens on this website — hosting, optional analytics, email — is described in our Privacy Policy. Your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR are described there too, and the route to exercising them is in Data Deletion.
5. Legal details
The full provider information required under § 5 DDG — operator, address, VAT status and responsibility for content — is in our Imprint (Legal notice). The terms that apply to this website and to the app are in our Terms.
Note on the App Store: your licence to use the distribot app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Our own terms for the app are in sections 6 to 13 of our Terms of Service; they apply alongside it and take nothing away from it. Support for the app is provided by us, not by Apple.
